Commercial Install Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan and manage all installation operations to achieve established goals and objectives.
- Oversee technician performance, productivity, and schedules.
- Ensure technicians are properly trained, equipped, and competent in their roles.
- Facilitate monthly safety meetings and conduct regular site safety inspections.
- Promote and enforce safe driving practices.
- Investigate workplace injuries and vehicle accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with forecasting monthly installation revenue.
- Manage truck and equipment inventory to support project demands.
- Coordinate project schedules with end-users to ensure timely completion.
- Act as the primary purchaser for installation-related orders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Oversee subcontractor scheduling and labor management.
- Collaborate with the sales team to manage and support installation projects.
- Plan installation schedules, ensuring the availability of necessary lift equipment, tools, PPE, and other resources.
- Develop site-specific safety plans in compliance with customer requirements.
- Invoice completed installation orders, including progress billing for large projects.
- Work closely with the finance team to provide accurate information for pay applications.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in installation, construction, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Previous management experience overseeing field technicians (dock/door industry experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach to resolving issues.
