About the role
- Ensure inventory accuracy through robust control mechanisms, cycle-count programs, and regular audits.
- Monitor and optimize warehouse operations, ensuring timely dispatch, storage efficiency, and strict adherence to SOPs.
- Maintain optimal stock levels by tracking quantities, monitoring expiry cycles, and minimizing waste or obsolescence.
- Oversee order management KPIs to ensure alignment with customer SLAs and internal delivery timelines.
- Manage sales returns and credit note processes in line with company policies.
- Oversee end-to-end freight management with a focus on cost optimization and SLA compliance.
- Plan and optimize transportation routes, shipment scheduling, and last-mile delivery.
- Negotiate and manage 3PL and transportation agreements, ensuring consistent service quality and compliance.
- Track and report logistics KPIs covering delivery performance, cost per unit, and turnaround times.
- Lead import and export operations ensuring full compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and BIS standards.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and regulatory agencies for smooth cross-border operations.
- Utilize Advanced Excel and Power BI for data analysis, dashboarding, and operational performance tracking.
- Develop analytical models to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive structured process improvements.
- Define, monitor, and present regular operations reports and supply chain KPIs to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight partners, manufacturers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Coordinate across internal departments – sales, finance, and production – to ensure seamless end-to-end operations.
- Negotiate service agreements and contracts to ensure alignment on cost, quality, and delivery commitments.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 15+ supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Champion a culture of operational excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement across the function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or inventory management.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or process-driven environment strongly preferred.
- Proven track record managing warehouse operations, logistics networks, and customer service functions.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and managing transportation contracts.
- Hands-on experience in Export/Import operations and regulatory compliance (BIS, customs, trade laws).
- Strong understanding of inventory management, order management, logistics, and EXIM procedures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proficiency in Advanced Excel; working knowledge of Power BI preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
