About the role
- Review manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and develop and implement improvement initiatives
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, relieve bottlenecks, and address capacity constraints
- Provide hands‑on, day‑to‑day engineering support to assigned production areas
- Identify root causes and implement corrective actions using structured problem‑solving tools
- Design and redesign manufacturing cell layouts for optimal material flow and efficiency
- Develop and maintain standard work to meet quality requirements and strengthen business continuity
- Ensure compliance with all company policies while upholding the highest standards of safety and quality
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and results
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
- 4+ years of experience in metals machining and electronics manufacturing
- Experience with AutoCAD for work cell layouts and design
- Strong working knowledge of lean or continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrated success leading impactful cost‑savings or process‑improvement initiatives
- Proven ability to excel in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and make effective real‑time decisions
- CNC programming experience (preferred)
- Lean or Six Sigma certification (preferred)
