About the role
- Conduct industry and competitive analyses to identify acquisition targets and market entry opportunities.
- Build and maintain market maps and whitespace maps highlighting key players, disruptors, and potential synergies.
- Assess macroeconomic, regulatory, and technological trends affecting deal attractiveness.
- Prepare concise, visually compelling research reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Integrate market insights into valuation, scenario planning, and pipeline development.
- Monitor M&A activity, funding rounds, and strategic moves in target sectors.
- Perform company‑level research on business models, products, end markets, and competitive positioning.
- Build and maintain financial models to support screening and valuation.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate strategic fit and prioritize target areas.
- Support strategy sessions focused on market landscapes, whitespace, and acquisition priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
- 2–4 years in market research, investment banking, consulting, strategy, corporate development, or similar analytical roles (M&A experience a plus).
- Must have the ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and market intelligence tools.
- Ability to distill complex data into clear frameworks and actionable insights.
- Curious, investigative mindset with strong financial modeling experience.
- Effective communicator able to engage credibly with senior leaders.
- Comfortable in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment where priorities can shift quickly.
