About the role

  • Organise a team of installation engineers from organising diaries, project progress, customer liaison and to ensure all engineering activities are compliant, efficient and as per company procedures.
  • Assist with any other operational tasks such as invoicing, ad-hoc tasks set by the Operational Management and any reporting requirements to the business.
  • Co-ordination and evaluation of the engineers’ performance.
  • Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing customer complaints, resolving problems and initiating meetings.
  • Conduct site visits to assess method and quality of work and provide engineers with meaningful feedback.
  • Conduct engineer meetings, training workshops and lesson learned exercises.
  • Provide guidance and support to engineers.
  • Ensure site plans, drawings and project minutes are available for engineers to refer to where relevant.
  • Ensure that on job completion, systems are tested, and customers are effectively trained and provided with relevant documentation.
  • Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
  • Ensure all working practice adheres to current health and safety requirements.
  • Support office colleagues with technical information.
  • Ensure systems are installed to specification, within agreed timescales and within budget.
  • Be the point of contact for key high-profile sites.
  • Present new ideas and suggestions and spot business opportunities.
  • Attend meetings either externally ‘on site’ or within own office environment.
  • Consistently update own technical knowledge.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned on an ‘as needed’ basis. Ad-hoc reporting

Requirements

  • Be able to demonstrate scheduling and organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders
  • Be able to work part of a team
  • Microsoft 365 (Essential)
  • Experience in Security/Intruder Industry (Preferred)
  • Project Management, Scheduling and customer service skills.
  • Holds a valid driving licence.
  • Must pass a security vetting check to BS7858.
  • Previous experience of managing engineers preferable
