About the role
- Organise a team of installation engineers from organising diaries, project progress, customer liaison and to ensure all engineering activities are compliant, efficient and as per company procedures.
- Assist with any other operational tasks such as invoicing, ad-hoc tasks set by the Operational Management and any reporting requirements to the business.
- Co-ordination and evaluation of the engineers’ performance.
- Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, addressing customer complaints, resolving problems and initiating meetings.
- Conduct site visits to assess method and quality of work and provide engineers with meaningful feedback.
- Conduct engineer meetings, training workshops and lesson learned exercises.
- Provide guidance and support to engineers.
- Ensure site plans, drawings and project minutes are available for engineers to refer to where relevant.
- Ensure that on job completion, systems are tested, and customers are effectively trained and provided with relevant documentation.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Ensure all working practice adheres to current health and safety requirements.
- Support office colleagues with technical information.
- Ensure systems are installed to specification, within agreed timescales and within budget.
- Be the point of contact for key high-profile sites.
- Present new ideas and suggestions and spot business opportunities.
- Attend meetings either externally ‘on site’ or within own office environment.
- Consistently update own technical knowledge.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned on an ‘as needed’ basis. Ad-hoc reporting
Requirements
- Be able to demonstrate scheduling and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders
- Be able to work part of a team
- Microsoft 365 (Essential)
- Experience in Security/Intruder Industry (Preferred)
- Project Management, Scheduling and customer service skills.
- Holds a valid driving licence.
- Must pass a security vetting check to BS7858.
- Previous experience of managing engineers preferable
