About the role
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, provisions, and reclassifications.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
- Perform management accounting and analytical accounting activities, including cost allocations, cost center analysis, and profitability analysis.
- Prepare and support the submission of tax returns and tax-related filings in collaboration with internal teams and external advisors.
- Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits, including tax authorities when applicable.
- Monitor and analyze variances in accounting and tax balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial accounting or General Ledger, preferably in a multinational environment
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial closing processes
- Experience with tax compliance or tax accounting
- Experience with ERP systems in an industrial environment
- Experience with management accounting or analytical accounting (cost centers, cost allocations)
- Fluent in English.
