About the role
- NPI Support
- Working closely with Development Engineering in process optimization and tool design for manufacturing
- Working closely with Assembly on process transfer to ensure smooth transfer of product from design to assembly house for production
- Be the key interface between Development, Engineering and Assembly house
- Coordinate with Contract Manufacturers
- Communicate regularly with CM’s production, quality, and engineering teams
- Ensure production schedules and plans are met
- Maintain communication with important suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of critical parts
- Work with suppliers to resolve any component-related issues
- Support the transfer and validation of new manufacturing processes at the CM
- Ensure processes meet product specifications through testing and pilot runs
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and quality problems
- Propose and implement improvements to increase yield, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
- Monitor quality performance at the CM and handle quality issues
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions with CM and suppliers
- Provide work instructions, SOPs, and inspection criteria to CM staff
- Conduct training to ensure proper manufacturing practices
- Work with supply chain and CM to align production plans with demand
- Track production progress and address any delays
- Assist CM in maintaining equipment and managing materials
- Monitor inventory and coordinate material replenishment
- Prepare reports on yield, failures, and improvement activities
- Maintain manufacturing records as required
- Visit CM sites regularly to review manufacturing and quality
- Support internal and customer audits
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree
- Minimum of 5 ~ 8 years’ experience in the Manufacturing field
- Knowledgeable on Process Control and Process Capability
- Knowledgeable on FMEA
- Knowledgeable on SPC
- Knowledgeable on Process Flow and Incoming and Outgoing Quality Controls
- Knowledgeable on 8D report
