About the role

  • To provide HID Global IT with technical support for the global network environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities, upgrades etc.
  • This person will be a contributing member of the Global IT Infrastructure team.
  • The position will be based in Chennai, India.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with production Network and Security enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience in AWS environment using Terraform.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/2k, Catalyst 9k/4500/3800/2900 and Cisco Wireless LAN controllers.
  • Experience in routing protocols and network security design and implementations for BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VPN, IDS/IPS, NAT/PAT, IPSEC tunnels, HSRP,VRRP, STP, PVST, RSTP and split tunneling.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and testing High Availability (HA) solutions.
  • Perform advanced configuration and troubleshooting on network devices like FortiGate firewalls managed using Forti Manager, Cisco (routers, switches, wireless controllers, and Access Points), load balancers.
  • Manage and maintain the Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, Access points and Load balancers, etc.
  • Strong experience in securing and monitoring network devices.
  • Proficient with tools to collect network statistics utilizing protocols (SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark, etc.).
  • ISP management and escalation experience.
  • Be a part of on-call rotation once a month to support network infrastructure in weekend.
  • Capable of solving a variety of common technical issues on network and network security.
  • Hands-on experience in working with tools like Service Now, Jira, monitoring system, etc.
  • Good to have experience working with Cisco UCS, and cloud connections.
  • Experience with Cisco UC, particularly with IOS based voice gateways, a plus.
  • Create and maintain operational process and technical documentation.
  • Awareness of global security standards.
  • CCNP or relevant vendor equivalent recognized certification preferred.
