About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and monitor the hospital's infection prevention and control program
- Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation for Critical Access Hospitals, CDC/NHSN guidelines, state health department regulations, and Joint Commission accreditation standards
- Support quality activities across departments

Requirements
What you’ll need- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2–3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an acute care or critical access hospital setting
- Strong understanding of infection control principles, epidemiology basics, and regulatory frameworks (CMS CoPs, CDC/NHSN)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting data to committees and leadership
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple regulatory deadlines independently
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or willingness to obtain within an agreed timeframe (preferred)
- Experience with NHSN reporting platform (preferred)
- Prior experience in a quality, risk management, or performance improvement role (preferred)
- Epic experience (preferred)
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered for certain jobs
