About the role
- Assist attorneys with comprehensive case preparation.
- Draft, review, and proofread pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and evidence.
- Conduct factual and legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Manage and analyze large volumes of documents, including e-discovery.
- Coordinate and assist with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Maintain and track critical deadlines, court filings, and case calendars.
- Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, and opposing counsel.
- Prepare trial binders, witness files, and exhibits for court proceedings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
- 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, with a preference for commercial litigation.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures.
- Experience with cite-checking is required; appeals experience is a significant plus.
- Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and case management software.
- Experience managing people or providing paralegal administrative oversight is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
