About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide counseling and therapy treatment remotely through telemedicine to patients of Community Health Center partners
- Apply evidence-based practices, including CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, trauma therapy, addiction therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and bereavement/grief counseling
- Implement treatment modalities in individual and group therapy settings while engaging patients in their treatment plans
- Review and sign clinical psychosocial assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and consents in a timely manner
- Maintain clinic records and document services and patient activities in compliance with clinical, contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements
- Conduct crisis intervention for individuals and families based on safety plans
- Participate in case planning with the Multidisciplinary Team to determine clinically appropriate patient disposition
- Participate in individual and group supervision and ongoing education, training, and competency assessments
- Provide case management services to promote recovery and community reintegration
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active, unrestricted mental health license in the state of primary residence and California
- Primary residence located in California
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Trained and/or certified in evidence-based trauma modalities such as TF-CBT, EMDR, Brain Spotting, Somatic-Based Approaches, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Polyvagal Theory, or Family Systems (IFS)
- Patient-first mindset
- Ability to sit for extended periods during working hours
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for using a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
- Adequate vision for reading computer screens and documents
- Clear verbal and written communication skills for virtual meetings and correspondence
- Sufficient hearing ability for phone calls or virtual meetings
- Access to a quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity
- Comprehensive background check and drug screening required as a condition of employment
