Structural Design Engineer, Structural Engineering, Building Construction

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop economical and innovative structural solutions for demanding building construction projects
- Prepare structural calculations and verifications of load-bearing capacity and serviceability
- Support projects from the initial design concept through to construction documentation and act as the technical contact
- Develop structural solutions in collaboration with architects, specialist planners and clients
- Coordinate structural requirements within the design team
- Responsibility for managing and providing technical guidance on individual projects depending on experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Professional experience in structural design is preferred — motivated career starters with the relevant focus are also welcome
- Solid knowledge of concrete, steel or timber construction
- Enjoy working on technically challenging tasks
- Familiarity with common structural analysis and design software
- Structured, independent working style and strong analytical skills
- Team player with strong communication skills and a high standard of quality
- Excellent written and spoken German
