About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Execute Arrowhead’s European strategy, including commercialization, market access, scientific excellence, and organizational build-out.
  • Align regional strategies with global priorities while tailoring execution to local market dynamics.
  • Drive launch planning and execution across initial priority markets (DE, FR, IT, ES, UK).
  • Drive pricing, reimbursement, and market access strategies in collaboration with global and local stakeholders, including with key external advisors/partners.
  • Ensure strong adoption and performance of Arrowhead’s therapies post-launch.
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing regional cross-functional leadership team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centricity.
  • Ensure effective coordination across country teams, global headquarters, and external advisors/partners.
  • Serve as Arrowhead’s senior representative across Europe with key external stakeholders, including regulators, payers, healthcare providers, and partners.
  • Build strategic relationships to support access, adoption, and long-term growth.
  • Establish scalable infrastructure, processes, and compliance frameworks aligned with European regulations.
  • Oversee regional P&L, resource allocation, and performance management.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 20+ years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including significant leadership roles in Europe.
  • Proven track record of leading successful product launches in major European markets.
  • Deep understanding of European market access, pricing, and reimbursement systems.
  • Experience building and scaling regional and/or country organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional teams in a matrixed, global environment with autonomy.
  • Strong strategic mindset paired with operational execution capabilities.
  • Experience managing senior leaders and influencing at the executive level.
  • Strong knowledge of the European healthcare landscape, including regulatory pathways and payer systems.
  • Experience in rare disease, specialty, or innovative therapeutics (RNAi or similar modalities a plus).
  • Experience in cardiometabolic therapeutic areas, preferably with a focus on dyslipidemias.
  • Based in Europe. Strong preference for this role to be based from Switzerland, may consider: Netherlands, Germany, UK.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed domestically and internationally.
