Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Public Administration or a related field;
  • Considerable experience in transportation operations focusing on multi-modal access, analysis, and safety.
  • Additional qualifying experience can be substituted for educational requirement.
  • A Master's degree or higher may be substituted for some of the experience requirement.
  • Experience in using Database Management Systems and GIS programming applications.
  • Conducting transportation engineering safety studies.
  • Intermediate work zone safety certification, International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) certification, working knowledge of AASHTO Green Book, VAPM.
