About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provides strategic direction and oversight for a portfolio of multi-million-dollar projects of local and regional significance.
Leads a team managing transportation projects that support Arlington County’s transportation network.
Collaborates closely with various DES Bureaus including Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Operations, and others to ensure successful project delivery.
Engages with County staff, leadership, private developers, funding agencies, residents, and community groups.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Transportation Planning, Engineering, or a related field;
Significant and progressively responsible leadership experience in Planning, Project Management and/or Program Management within Transportation operations.
Preference may be given to applicants with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
