About the role

  • Provides strategic direction and oversight for a portfolio of multi-million-dollar projects of local and regional significance.
  • Leads a team managing transportation projects that support Arlington County’s transportation network.
  • Collaborates closely with various DES Bureaus including Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Operations, and others to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Engages with County staff, leadership, private developers, funding agencies, residents, and community groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Transportation Planning, Engineering, or a related field;
  • Significant and progressively responsible leadership experience in Planning, Project Management and/or Program Management within Transportation operations.
  • Preference may be given to applicants with a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
