About the role

  • Support geospatial data analysis, quality assurance, and data management activities in support of DHS Geospatial Management Office (GMO) programs.
  • Perform advanced geospatial analysis, validating datasets, and supporting mission partners through the delivery of accurate, reliable, and actionable geospatial products.
  • Work across data acquisition, data management, and stakeholder engagement functions to ensure geospatial data meets mission requirements.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of data quality, metadata standards, and analytical processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geography, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geospatial Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 6+ years of experience performing geospatial analysis.
  • Experience conducting QA/QC on geospatial datasets.
  • Proficiency with GIS tools such as Esri ArcGIS (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
  • Experience working with geospatial data formats, metadata, and data standards.
  • Experience developing maps, reports, and geospatial visualizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
