About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Play a key role in supporting the Admissions process for a range of applicants, from application to enrolment and ensuring compliance with the University’s Admissions Policy and Code of Practice and to meet University targets.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support to applicants on all aspects of the admissions process helping to overcome any barriers to access.
  • Assess and process international student applications, making decisions on offers, rejections, and withdrawals.
  • Apply and interpret UKVI policies and the university’s admissions criteria.
  • Investigate supporting documentation and liaise with applicants or agents as needed.
  • Detect fraudulent applications and verify international qualifications.
  • Conduct pre-CAS assessments and ensure compliance with sponsorship requirements.
  • Provide tailored advice to applicants and agents on course options and admissions.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure accuracy in the student management system.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience of working in UK Higher Education, specifically within an international admissions or recruitment role.
  • Strong understanding of UKVI regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student record /CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach with a strong customer service ethos.
  • Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience with ECCTIS and working with external agencies (desirable).
  • Knowledge of international education systems (desirable).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, including overseas and support events during evenings or weekends (desirable).
