About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze title insurance risks, underwriting issues, and regulatory concerns
- Provide underwriting solutions to agents, sales team, and title examiners according to company guidelines and local, state, and federal law
- Underwrite residential and limited commercial transactions
- Present training seminars for title agents and production staff, both online and in person
- Provide outstanding customer service while making sound underwriting decisions
- Handle high-volume underwriting inquiries by email and telephone in a timely, responsive, and professional manner
- Analyze and respond to indemnity requests
- Travel with sales staff for agent visits throughout Tennessee
- Work effectively in a remote team environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Minimum 3 years of experience concentrated in Tennessee real property and title insurance
- Must be a member in good standing with the Tennessee Bar
- Thorough knowledge of Tennessee real property law and related areas applicable to real property transactions
- Knowledge of the Tennessee title insurance industry
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Relationship building

- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables where limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
