About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze title insurance risks, underwriting issues, and regulatory concerns
Provide underwriting solutions to agents, sales team, and title examiners in accordance with Westcor company guidelines as well as local, state and federal law
Handle residential as well as commercial transactions underwriting
Present training seminars to educate title agents and production staff (both online and in person)
Provide outstanding customer service while making sound underwriting decisions
Analyze and respond to indemnity requests
Call on existing Westcor agents and help increase wallet share. Identify new business opportunities through prospecting
Travel with sales staff, managers or other underwriters for agent visits throughout the states

Requirements

What you’ll need

J.D. degree
Minimum 3 years of experience concentrated in North Carolina real property and title insurance
Must be a member in good standing with the North Carolina Bar
Strong knowledge of NC, SC, and Georgia real property law and the title insurance industry
