About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with transformer design engineers at OEMs to specify insulation systems and influence design decisions
- Support both dry-type (VPI) and liquid-filled transformer applications
- Engage directly with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to solve technical challenges
- Travel across the US, Canada, and Mexico to build relationships and support customers on-site
- Work alongside sales to strengthen customer engagement and uncover new opportunities
- Identify emerging trends and bring forward new application ideas and market insights
- Support technical problem-solving, testing interpretation, and performance optimization
- Participate in industry groups, standards discussions, and technical forums
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in transformer design, manufacturing, or engineering (typically 3–5+ years)
- Bachelors or above degree in Electrical Engineering or related major
- Hands-on understanding of transformer systems and how they are built
- Ability to work directly with technical stakeholders in customer environments
