About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You will be a member of an agile engineering team, working on strategic projects including helping to build API-first services that form part of a new target architecture.
You will have the opportunity to contribute towards building and scaling customer products and services, collaborating with other Engineering and Mobile, DevOps and Data teams.
You'll engage with cutting edge technologies and utilize CI/CD pipelines built with Terraform and Kubernetes on GCP.
You'll navigate complex challenges and drive development process improvements, working with your team to achieve common objectives.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven track record in backend or full-stack development
Good knowledge of Scala
Experience with the Typelevel stack (we use Cats, Cats-Effect, Http4s, FS2)
Experience with Kafka or/and Event-based architecture
Experience or interest in Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Experience using a cloud-native development approach with GCP or AWS
Exposure to implementing and consuming APIs
Proven experience in a fast-paced growth environment
Passion for product and user experience, along with strong commercial thinking.
Willing to own code from development to production
Familiarity with Test Driven Development (TDD) is beneficial
Fluent English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills
