About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop, implement, and maintain software solutions that enable business operations to achieve company goals and objectives
- Perform analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, production support, and automation activities
- Mentor team members, drive engineering best practices, and influence technical direction
- Collaborate with Agile teams to accurately capture stakeholder requests and system specifications
- Partner with software architects and other technical leaders to ensure solutions align with Enterprise Architecture principles and software engineering best practices
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and keep stakeholders apprised of project status, risks, and dependencies
- Manage engineering risks by proactively identifying, communicating, and mitigating issues
- Supports business units in the resolution of complex user questions and production issues while adhering to established support processes and SLAs
- Identify gaps in engineering processes, development practices, and team workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- 8–10+ years of progressively responsible software engineering experience
- Previous experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, Team Lead, or Proxy Manager within an Agile software development environment is strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methodologies, best practices, and modern application development approaches
- Extensive experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications
- Strong experience working in Agile software development environments
- Strong JavaScript development experience with frameworks such as Angular, RxJS, and Node.js
- Front-end development experience using ReactJS, Webpack, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, responsive design, accessibility standards, and modern UI/UX practices
- Strong understanding of application scalability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering
- Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance technical challenges, delivery priorities, and team needs.
