About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct on-site and virtual/phone surveys of prospects and clients to assess property.
Perform detailed assessments of site operations, and evaluate complex property exposures and controls.
Summarize findings in internal reports with appropriate loss improvement recommendations.
Complete Loss Analysis.
Complete sprinkler plan reviews.
Provide support and recommendations to underwriters, policyholders, and brokers.
Prepare and conduct presentations to serviced accounts.
Provide virtual and field training for junior staff.
Participate in special projects and become a Subject Matter Expert in one technical discipline.
Develop and contribute to internal technical standards, guidelines, and tools.
Timely communication with internal and external partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of 7 years of industry experience in a safety-related role; property and casualty insurance experience highly desired.
Engineering or comparable degree/experience.
Competency with NFPA and FM Data Sheets.
Competency with Microsoft suite tools and applications.
Experience with Nat Cat evaluations (primarily flood, but windstorm, hail, wildfire, etc. preferred).
Ability to evaluate sprinkler system adequacy and calculate loss expectancies.
Strong consultative skills and the ability to complete detailed reports and assist clients with recommendation compliance.
Mentoring and training experience on technical & insurance topics.
