About the role
- Conduct on-site and virtual/phone surveys of prospects and clients evaluating complex exposures and controls for auto, general liability products liability, property and workers compensation
- Summarize findings in internal reports with appropriate loss improvement recommendations
- Conduct multi line loss analysis
- Provide support and recommendations to underwriters, policyholders, and brokers
- Prepare and conduct presentations to serviced accounts
- Participate in special projects and possibly become a Subject Matter Expert
Requirements
- Competency with NFPA, OSHA, and DOT standards
- Competency with Microsoft suite tools and applications
- Good communication skills for working with underwriters, policyholders, and brokers
- Solid time management skills
- Experience with ergonomics, life safety and prem ops exposures
- Ability to evaluate sprinkler system adequacy and calculate loss expectancies
- Strong consultative skills and the ability to complete detailed reports and assist clients with recommendation compliance
- Education/Experience Engineering, Safety, Risk Management or comparable degree/experience
- A minimum of 7 years of industry experience in a safety-related role; property and casualty insurance experience highly desired
- Possessing relevant professional designations or certifications such as ASP, CSP, CFPS, or ARM is highly desirable.
