About the role
- Support Arch Insurance Construction business unit by managing risk control services and collaborating closely with underwriting to ensure profitable insurance placements
- Assess construction-related risks and develop risk control strategies
- Implement risk improvement efforts including developing and delivering risk control improvements and training to reduce losses
- Conduct loss analyses, contractual risk transfer reviews, and fleet risk management
- Prequalify risks, assess workers’ compensation, general liability, and auto liability exposures, and provide detailed feedback on loss history and unusual claims
- Coordinate with claims management for integrated service delivery
Requirements
- 7-10 plus years in insurance carrier risk control or construction safety
- Preferably field and managerial construction experience
- Knowledge of construction operations including general building, heavy/highway, specialty trades, and civil/marine sectors
- Familiarity with construction delivery systems, processes, contractual risk transfer, work zone liability management, and equipment operations such as fleet and cranes
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Relevant certifications like CSP, ARM, or CRIS preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25-40%
