About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Safely operate specialized utility vegetation management equipment as the primary function of the position.
- Perform vegetation clearing, grinding, mowing, mulching, land clearing, access road maintenance, and vegetation control activities in utility rights-of-way and utility service areas.
- Follow all ArborWorks, client, OSHA, ANSI A300, ANSI Z133, and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Conduct daily pre-trip, operational, and post-operation inspections.
- Coordinate with field crews to maximize productivity while maintaining safe work practices.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of documented Utility Vegetation Management (UVM), line clearance, forestry, tree care, land clearing, or related field experience.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment, forestry equipment, or specialized vegetation management machinery required.
- Experience working around energized utility infrastructure preferred.
- Strong knowledge of utility vegetation management operations and right-of-way maintenance practices.
- Valid Driver's License required. Ability to meet company driving requirements.
- CPR and First Aid Certification required within 90 days of hire.
