About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Facilitate detailed requirement gathering workshops with public sector stakeholders, institutional leaders, and internal software product owners.
  • Translate complex, high-level government operational workflows into structured functional requirement documents (FRDs) and technical specifications.
  • Author crisp, unambiguous agile user stories, acceptance criteria, and system use cases within project management environments (Jira/Confluence).
  • Map current-state vs. target-state user administrative workflows, emphasizing user journey optimization within the Moodle ecosystem.
  • Collaborate closely with QA and engineering squads to verify that technical builds perfectly align with specified client business requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis exercises and evaluate system configuration updates to assess overall platform compliance with client rules.
  • Manage and document system scope-change requests, assessing potential downstream impacts on core platform features and timeline milestones.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4–5 years of dedicated experience operating as a Software Business Analyst or Systems Analyst inside a fast-paced technology house or enterprise consulting setup.
  • Exceptional ability to transform ambiguous, high-level client discussions into rigorous, clean technical requirements and data flow diagrams.
  • Mastery over agile business analysis concepts, including writing precise user stories, managing product backlogs, and mapping user processes.
  • Hands-on proficiency using requirements management and visualization tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Lucidchart, or Visio.
  • Professional communication skills are essential. Candidates must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively manage business interactions and maintain a professional tone in all commercial correspondence.
  • Prior experience delivering requirements analysis for major Educational Technology (EdTech) deployments, virtual learning networks, or Moodle environments is a plus.
  • Background working on digitized software systems or transformation projects commissioned by Pakistani government ministries or public departments is a plus.
  • Relevant professional business analysis certifications (such as IIBA CCBA/CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Certified Scrum Product Owner) are a plus.
  • Foundational understanding of relational database structures, API definitions, or UI/UX mock-up interpretation is a plus.
  • Prior experience working within a venture incubator or multi-subsidiary enterprise software product company is a plus.
