About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement intelligent strategies to assist clients with federal, state, and local employment tax issues and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Deliver employment tax services for multiple clients across a variety of industries
- Interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
- Work closely with partners to deliver innovative tax planning strategies
- Travel minimally
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- Recent experience working in a public accounting firm or multi-state payroll tax environment
- 4–5 years of payroll tax consulting and/or compliance experience in the employment tax space
- Experience with federal, state, and local employment tax matters, including compliance and issue resolution
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Computer expertise, including knowledge of technology
- CPA/EA preferred, but not required
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) accreditation preferred
