Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and implement intelligent strategies to assist clients with federal, state, and local employment tax issues and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Deliver employment tax services for multiple clients across a variety of industries
  • Interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
  • Work closely with partners to deliver innovative tax planning strategies
  • Travel minimally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Recent experience working in a public accounting firm or multi-state payroll tax environment
  • 4–5 years of payroll tax consulting and/or compliance experience in the employment tax space
  • Experience with federal, state, and local employment tax matters, including compliance and issue resolution
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer expertise, including knowledge of technology
  • CPA/EA preferred, but not required
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) accreditation preferred
