Accounting Manager – Technology/SaaS
AprioUS Accounting Manager at Aprio, leading accounting for various clients within Technology/SaaS sector. Ensuring financial statement preparation and team development in a dynamic environment.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare client financial statements
- Maintain & review General Ledger, AP, AR
- Prepare client month-end close for enterprise clients
- Review month end financials prepared by team members
- Communicate and build relationships with clients
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development to team of direct reports
- Manage system approvals for required business applications
- Participate in onboarding/offboarding of team members (interviewing, hiring, selection, replacement requests, etc.)
- Delegate tasks to team members and ensure client assignments are appropriately distributed and balanced across the team
- Conduct monthly internal training for the team (soft/technical skills)
- Conduct performance evaluations at set frequencies and deliver feedback regularly to ensure the success of the team members
- Participate in meetings (attending and facilitating) with managers, peers, and others
- Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Create new processes to streamline tasks and maximize team member efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Amenable to work mid shift – 3:00 PM – 12:00 MN PH Time
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- A licensed CPA is an advantage
- Solid experience with QBO is required. Experience in Xero, NetSuite, or other accounting platforms is an advantage
- Strong accounting skills
- Minimum of 5-7 years of US Accounting Experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple clients
- Experience handling a variety of industries, including SaaS & Technology
- Must be an independent, resourceful, self-starter; and also a team player
- Strong analytical skills - see the big picture, how things relate and affect one another, within the client's books, as well as business
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work, in a remote team organization
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task
- Pro-active attitude; highly self-motivated and able to work without constant oversight
