Family Office Tax Services Leader – Tax Partner

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead client engagements, expanding market presence, developing and mentoring talent, and contributing to the firm’s long term strategic direction.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering high value strategic, technical, and operational guidance.
- Provide executive oversight on complex engagements to ensure quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
- Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging business needs that impact client operations.
- Drive exceptional client experiences aligned with Aprio’s service standards.
- Develop and execute growth plans that expand Aprio’s market presence in designated practice areas or industry niches.
- Build and maintain strong referral networks, strategic partnerships, and market relationships.
- Identify new opportunities for service expansion, innovative offerings, and cross firm synergies.
- Represent Aprio internally and externally as a leader committed to firm culture and values.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent within the practice area.
- Lead engagement teams by modeling accountability, collaboration, and advocacy for employee growth.
- Foster a diverse, inclusive, high trust environment that enables teams to excel.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 12+ years of experience and demonstrated track record of leadership within a professional services firm.
- Strong technical expertise in the relevant discipline (Tax, Private Client Services).
- Proven success driving revenue growth, client expansion, and practice development.
- Reputation for exceptional client service, strategic thinking, and collaborative leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor, inspire, and build high performing teams.
- High ethical standards.
- Deep experience with Family Office (preferred).
- Experience operating in high growth, multilocation, or national firm environments (preferred).
- Prior partner or executive leadership experience (preferred).
