About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead project execution and delivery performance within the Civil Technical Services organization
  • Manage Technical Services projects from kickoff through completion
  • Plan project execution in alignment with approved Statements of Work
  • Coordinate tasks, sequencing, dependencies, and delivery activities
  • Resolve project issues, risks, and blockers
  • Review and approve Statements of Work before project kickoff
  • Assign Technical Specialists based on skills, availability, and delivery needs
  • Manage team capacity, utilization, workload balancing, schedules, PTO, and coverage
  • Serve as direct performance leader for Technical Specialists
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and document feedback and performance observations
  • Set expectations and address performance issues through coaching and improvement plans
  • Make decisions regarding role fit, reassignment, or termination when expectations are not met
  • Ensure work meets quality and technical standards
  • Assign and oversee QA/QC activities
  • Investigate delivery issues and lead root-cause analysis
  • Support onboarding, training, coaching, hiring, and team growth
  • Work with the Director on staffing plans, delivery readiness, and reporting
  • Provide visibility into project status, risks, and resource needs
  • Escalate systemic issues affecting delivery, quality, or team performance

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience managing technical or professional services projects
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing performance
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct difficult performance conversations and take decisive action
  • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex delivery issues
  • Experience with resource planning, utilization management, and team coordination
  • Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
  • Experience within the AEC industry or adjacent technology-driven industries
  • Familiarity with Autodesk solutions such as Civil 3D, Revit, ACC, BIM 360, and/or AutoCAD
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods
  • Able to travel between office locations, including locations with stairs
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Adequate visual and auditory abilities, with or without aids
