About the role
- Responsible for the day to day operation of the JMC Infection Prevention and Control program for all Jupiter Medical Center programs
- Engage in practices of infection risk assessment, surveillance analysis, investigation and control of healthcare acquired infections and outbreaks
- Facilitate methods for safety prevention and control of infectious diseases for all patients, team members, volunteers and visitors
- Collaborate with JMC Leadership and other healthcare professionals
- Ensure compliance with standards and regulations from the CDC, DOH, CMS, OSHA, TJC, and the State of Florida
Requirements
- RN License in the state of Florida
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers
- Infection Prevention experience in a hospital setting preferred
- 5 years clinical experience
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) preferred or eligible within 2 years
