About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for new and existing clients
Prepare, submit, and monitor insurance authorizations and treatment plans
Maintain accurate insurance and authorization information in the electronic health record
Support billing by ensuring authorizations align with scheduled services
Communicate with insurance carriers regarding authorizations, benefits, and payer requirements
Research claim issues and assist with billing documentation and follow-up
Maintain accurate records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Partner with the Insurance & Billing Manager and clinical teams to support timely client services

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must reside in New Hampshire
Available to work Eastern Standard Time business hours
High school diploma or equivalent required
One or more years of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, revenue cycle, or healthcare administration
Experience with commercial insurance and/or Medicaid preferred
Experience in ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric healthcare is a plus but not required
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with EHR systems, preferably RethinkBH, is a plus
Dedicated, quiet, and professional workspace
Reliable high-speed internet
Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance and protect confidential information while working remotely
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proactive problem-solving and strong critical thinking skills
Dependable and professional, with commitment to confidentiality
