About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions in GCP.
- Build, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Containerize applications and manage deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and improve delivery speed.
- Automate repetitive tasks and operational processes through scripting and tooling.
- Ensure security best practices are applied across cloud infrastructure and pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Design reusable infrastructure templates and deployment standards for multiple teams.
- Continuously optimize cloud costs, performance, and scalability.
- Support and guide teams in adopting DevOps best practices and cloud-native solutions.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Stay up to date with DevOps, Kubernetes, and GCP trends and emerging technologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, reliable product delivery.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including architecture and deployment of cloud-native solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.
- Strong proficiency with Docker for containerization.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Jenkins.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar) for automation.
- Experience implementing monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, GCP Monitoring).
- Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and IAM best practices in GCP.
- Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex cloud environments.
- Experience designing reusable templates and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Experience with configuration and deployment tools such as Argo CD is a plus.
- Advanced English proficiency, working with distributed teams and stakeholders.
