About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Plan, organize, and integrate significant cross-functional information technology projects
- Work in an integrated technical environment within SLA ITS
- Integrate multiple technologies using HBITS-identified high-demand tools in technologically advanced environments
- Manage scope, schedule, and budget for complex multi-year ITS projects
- Guide multi-entity project teams across multiple projects
- Lead requirements gathering and create business and technical documentation
- Plan testing and deployment
- Develop risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare project status reports and presentations for executives
- Manage staff using matrix management techniques
- Negotiate resource allocations and project responsibilities with senior management
- Manage project execution and control from initiation through closeout
- Manage project schedules, budgets, scope, deliverables, quality, and change requests
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of work experience
- 84 months of experience as a Project Manager managing 3–5 simultaneous application development projects, including COTS and/or in-house projects
- Experience ensuring vendor implementation of version upgrades, installations, configurations, custom development, triage, troubleshooting incidents, and testing
- Experience with projects adhering to the Secure System Development Life Cycle (SSDLC)
- 84 months of experience managing project execution and control, including budgets, MS Project schedules, scope, status reports, communication plans, project management plans, and quality standards from initiation to closeout
- 84 months of experience developing and managing formal project schedules using a project tracking tool such as Microsoft Project
- Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies and standard project management techniques such as scrum sessions
- Experience presenting schedule and status updates to ITS and client agency leadership
- 84 months of experience developing, writing, and managing detailed scope documents and managing deliverable acceptance and change requests
- 84 months of experience with project quality planning, quality assurance, end-to-end system testing, quality control, UAT defect and metrics management, and quality governance
- 84 months of experience managing and leading multi-phased, high-visibility projects and reporting to senior government IT stakeholders in a state or federal agency, preferably involving licensing projects
- 36 months of post-PMP project management experience implementing business process re-engineering and organizational change management projects
- In-person interview availability
- Ability to work in Albany, NY in a hybrid arrangement
