About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee and provide direction related to quality, clinical and compliance for Apotheco Pharmacy operations initiatives in compliance with state and federal laws.
Report to the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Manage staff of techs, patient care coordinators, and customer service representatives while on duty.
Adhere to all Apotheco policies.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations designated by the Board of Pharmacy.
Maintain records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
Ensure medication availability by delivering medications to patients and departments.
Counsel patients on all new prescriptions.
Perform return to stock duties for prescriptions not picked up within 14 days.
Responsible for adherence in state environment, for all federal regulations involving prescription medication fulfillment for retail pharmacy.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Have earned a BS or Pharm D degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
Have had at least 2 years retail experience or equivalent.
Kentucky Pharmacist license.
Strong drug product and clinical pharmacy knowledge
Familiar with clinical program components, formulary designs, prescription benefit trends, and PA programs
Time management skills
Written and Oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information appropriately
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and self-motivated
Strong computer skills, including MS Window, Word, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment
Strong customer service orientation and commitment to professionalism
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
