About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) efforts for DoD aviation platforms
Report to the Director of Operations and coordinate with Apogee Director and Program Manager
Ensure operational security is maintained for information systems
Develop and maintain relationships with DOD and Intelligence Community agencies
Configure and secure LAN, WAN, and/or standalone machines
Perform security audits on all systems
Ensure procedures for responding to security compliance incidents are followed

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of cybersecurity experience
3+ years in ISSM or senior ISSO role for DoD aviation or weapons systems
Experience in obtaining authority to test (ATT) and authority to operate (ATO)
Knowledge of certification/authorization requirements as outlined in NISPOM, RMF, JISG, ICD 503, NIST SP 800-53 Rev 4/5, DoD STIG Overlays
In-depth knowledge and experience with information system security and technical configuration standards
Experience configuring Linux (RHEL) and Windows (Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022)
Ability to work under pressure and deal with changing priorities
Excellent communication skills
