About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a squad of 4–8 engineers
Write code, review PRs, and contribute to technical decisions
Ensure the squad delivers on commitments with high quality
Champion testing, observability, and engineering best practices
Run the squad—lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives
Partner with PMs and designers to translate requirements into deliverable work
Represent the squad in planning, cross-team syncs, and leadership discussions

Requirements

What you’ll need

4+ years in software engineering
1+ years managing or leading a team (formal or informal)
Strong technical background
Familiar with modern development practices: CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), observability
Comfortable with our stack or similar: Java/Spring, Angular/React, PostgreSQL, AWS, DataDog
Uses AI tools (Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) for code reviews, design drafts, and debugging
Teaches squad effective AI usage and best practices
Experience running 1:1s and giving direct, kind feedback
Track record of developing engineers and helping them grow
Servant leadership mindset
Builds trust, psychological safety, and ownership culture
Clear communicator with engineers, PMs, and leadership
Fluent in Spanish; working knowledge of English for cross-team collaboration.
