About the role
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and analytical frameworks to monitor portfolio performance, fraud trends, and acquisition quality.
- Contribute to the design, testing, and optimization of credit policies, underwriting rules, and fraud prevention strategies to improve the margin profile of the business.
- Design and analyze champion/challenger tests and other experiments to evaluate strategy changes, measure impact, and recommend next steps.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify risk drivers, emerging patterns, and opportunities for improvement across the customer lifecycle (acquisition, customer management, collections, fraud).
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations to translate analytical findings into actionable product and process improvements.
- Build and improve automated processes, queries, and lightweight tools to increase the speed and efficiency of the Risk team's analytical workflows.
- Maintain clear documentation of methodologies, policies, and analytical outputs to support governance and compliance standards.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in risk analytics, credit risk, fraud, or a related quantitative role, ideally within consumer lending or fintech.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Experience building and interpreting risk models, scorecards, or rule-based decisioning frameworks is a plus.
- Comfortable working with GitHub in the context of a data analysis workflow.
- Familiarity with statistical methods and A/B testing methodologies.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and a bias for action.
- Clear communicator — able to translate complex data into concise, actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and can manage multiple workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Collaborative and curious, with a genuine interest in how risk intersects with product and customer experience.
- Languages: English: Native or advanced Spanish: Desired
