About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, validate, and maintain simulation models for robotic drive systems, including motors, gearheads, sensors, controllers, and mechanical loads.
  • Create simulation workflows to evaluate drive performance, thermal behavior, control response, and system-level requirements.
  • Work closely with robotics, control, and application engineers to translate real-world drive behavior into reliable simulation models.
  • Improve simulation accuracy, model usability, and visualization of key drive-system parameters.
  • Support the development of user-friendly simulation interfaces, dashboards, or web-based tools that help engineers configure, run, and interpret simulations.
  • Contribute to simulation methods, validation approaches, reusable model libraries, and supporting software tools for robotic drives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with simulation, modeling, or system analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB/Simulink, Modelica, or similar.
  • Strong interest in robotic actuators, drive systems, control engineering, and mechatronic system behavior.
  • Ability to analyze simulation results, compare them with measurements, and communicate technical findings clearly.
  • Programming skills in Python or similar languages are expected; experience with full-stack development, web interfaces, APIs, or data visualization is a strong advantage for building simulation tools.
