Land Tenure Management, Property Paralegal
APALand Tenure Management Officer/Property Paralegal managing land tenure for APA's operational assets in Australia. Supporting the execution of legal documents and facilitating communication with stakeholders.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee the management of databases for both new and existing land tenure, agreements, and financial obligation.
- Prepare, review, and support the execution of legal documents, including leases, co-use deeds, access agreements, easements and other property-related documentation.
- Lead the resolution of outstanding tenure issues, ensuring APA’s tights and interests, such as easements, are fully protected.
- Manage lease related activities, including renewals, reviews and termination.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment in property management and land tenure matters.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong knowledge of land tenure systems and legislation across Australian states.
- Proven ability to research, interpret, and apply relevant legislation as needed.
- Skilled in preparing and executing legal documents related to land tenure and land use.
- Proven experience in building positive relationships with private, corporate, and government landholders and their representatives.
- Advanced skills in stakeholder liaison, negotiation, and influencing, with excellent time management and organisational abilities.
- Strong commitment to safety, with adherence to safe practices and readiness to travel, including to remote locations.
