About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and coordinate technical project activities to support the successful delivery of project goals, timelines, budgets, and quality outcomes
  • Prepare and manage project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, procurement packages, and reporting in line with APA project frameworks and engineering standards
  • Support the delivery of projects through all phases including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and close-out activities
  • Monitor and manage project scope changes, risks, and third-party contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure effective project execution and achievement of project objectives
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting dashboards, and risk registers while driving continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary Engineering qualification or an equivalent technical/technician background with relevant industry experience
  • Experience working within the oil and gas industry or a similar environment, ideally across the design, construction, operation, or maintenance of pipeline and facility assets
  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary projects involving mechanical, pipeline, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Strong project delivery skills, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, contractor management, and driving projects through to successful completion
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian standards and regulations relating to high-pressure gas transmission facilities, including AS2885, AS4041, and ASME B31.3, or the ability to quickly build capability in these areas
  • A proactive mindset with strong communication skills, a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams, contractors, and stakeholders
