About the role

  • Innovation Engineer-AI & Automation role focused on renewable energy technologies Subject matter expert (SME) of innovation in assigned subject areas Manage projects without direct reports Research, develop, and implement automation and tools to optimize processes Collaborate with and lead multi-disciplinary teams of internal and external industry subject matter experts Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define strategic roadmap and drive digital innovation Understand industry trends and applications of new technologies Write and maintain production level code in Python, R, SQL, etc. Design, prototype, and test solutions to energy-related scientific and mathematical problems Support and foster innovative technologies to deliver new ideas for business transformation Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders and provide data-driven recommendations Maintain familiarity with industry and company progress and problems in assigned technical areas Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or related field from an ABET accredited program 5+ years of experience Deep understanding of integrated IT environments and cloud architecture, as well as modern software development and deployment practices Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to manage change and drive transformation within a large organization Experience utilizing APIs following industry best practices Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SQL Cloud & DevOps proficiency Experience with LLM integration, RAG, and prompt engineering Experience with agent orchestration frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen, or similar) Proficient with code repositories like Github Experience with PowerApps/Power Automate (preferred) Proficiency in VBA (preferred) Background in detailed analysis of complex systems involving large datasets (preferred) Doctoral Degree with 3+ years of experience or Master's degree with 4+ years of experience (preferred)
