About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design comprehensive business intelligence solutions
  • Develop data modes, data integration processes, and data visualization strategies
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights
  • Identify trends, patterns, and outliers to support data-driven decision-making processes
  • Design and implement data integration processes from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) to create a unified view of the agency’s data
  • Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy BI to convey insights and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security
  • Collaborate with data owners to maintain high data quality standards
  • Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all BI solutions and processes
  • Track status for all program deliverables, ensuring ownership and accountability for each
  • Develop accurate weekly and monthly status reports including team activities, risks, issues, progress toward milestones, and decisions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or IT related field
  • 7+ years of experience in a BI Lead Developer/Admin role utilizing MicroStrategy
  • Strong experience with MicroStrategy Cloud for Government and/or AWS GovCloud environments
  • MicroStrategy Certified Developer, MicroStrategy Certified Architect Certification (only one required; candidates are not expected to hold both)
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
  • Ability to think critically and articulately communicate ideas for innovative solutions
  • Highly developed understanding of client drivers and behaviors
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, including management of high-volume, competing priorities
  • Strong customer service acumen and commitment.
  • Sole U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
