About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and design comprehensive business intelligence solutions
- Develop data modes, data integration processes, and data visualization strategies
- Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights
- Identify trends, patterns, and outliers to support data-driven decision-making processes
- Design and implement data integration processes from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files, etc.) to create a unified view of the agency’s data
- Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using MicroStrategy BI to convey insights and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders
- Establish and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security
- Collaborate with data owners to maintain high data quality standards
- Collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges
- Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for all BI solutions and processes
- Track status for all program deliverables, ensuring ownership and accountability for each
- Develop accurate weekly and monthly status reports including team activities, risks, issues, progress toward milestones, and decisions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or IT related field
- 7+ years of experience in a BI Lead Developer/Admin role utilizing MicroStrategy
- Strong experience with MicroStrategy Cloud for Government and/or AWS GovCloud environments
- MicroStrategy Certified Developer, MicroStrategy Certified Architect Certification (only one required; candidates are not expected to hold both)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to think critically and articulately communicate ideas for innovative solutions
- Highly developed understanding of client drivers and behaviors
- Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, including management of high-volume, competing priorities
- Strong customer service acumen and commitment.
- Sole U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Public Trust clearance.
