About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run discovery inside government institutions alongside go-to-market teams to identify where Claude belongs in production workflows
- Shape products around government users' workflows and needs
- Own product decisions for government models, product offerings, and agency workflows built on them
- Identify government needs worth generalizing and carry them into Anthropic's broader product roadmap
- Help Anthropic navigate government compliance regimes
- Partner with cloud and integration partners
- Work across civilian, state and local, govtech, or national security portfolios
- Collaborate with dedicated engineering and research teams, policy, go-to-market, customer success, and applied AI leads
- Deliver products that help agencies provide services more effectively and inform Anthropic enterprise products
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Successful end-to-end product shipping experience
- Product judgment valued above domain credentials
- Experience building products from observing users rather than requirements documents
- Ability to influence teams that do not report to you
- Experience shipping in a fast-cadence organization or setting the pace in a slower environment
- Ability to build domain intuition quickly in large enterprises
- Must be a US person due to US Government agreements
- Roughly 7+ years building and shipping products, or equivalent scope
- Intuition for government operations gained inside government, at a digital services organization, or through building products public servants use
- Experience taking public-sector or field requirements into successful commercial products
- Fluency with AI products, evaluations, and model behavior as part of the product surface
- Experience shipping within FedRAMP, classified, or comparable compliance boundaries
- Experience negotiating with or steering large cloud providers or systems integrators
- Active TS/SCI security clearance with the US government may be relevant for some roles
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
