About the role
- Ensure monitoring of works (geotechnical surveys/drilling, project management/supervision of underground works, water monitoring…)
- Anticipate technical and HSE constraints
- Ensure operational oversight of drilling contractors: control correct execution of methods, verify conformity with plans and procedures, manage interfaces between different stakeholders
- Guarantee a very high level of safety during interventions: apply and enforce HSE rules, analyze risks, supervise safety briefings and the use of PPE
- Control the quality of services: ensure compliance with technical standards, identify deviations and implement corrective actions
- Provide technical reporting on services: track work progress, prepare daily reports, escalate incidents and propose corrective actions
- Maintain a smooth and proactive client relationship on site: act as the client’s primary contact, answer questions, anticipate needs and ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- You are a confirmed works technician or an experienced works engineer
- You have at least 10 years of experience on drilling or underground works sites
- You have varied experience across different types of works, ideally in drilling, geotechnics and hydrogeology or in underground works
- Strong knowledge of site operations (technical, safety, quality, procedures, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of drilling methods (tool selection, parameters, process monitoring)
- Strong fundamentals in geotechnics / hydrogeology (soils, rocks, permeability, piezometry)
- Mastery of site procedures: technical, safety, quality, regulatory compliance
- Comfortable on sensitive sites, with a strong HSE culture
- Valid driving license (category B) required
