About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule appointments for various Specialty Services using the Cornerstone system
- Triage urgent calls efficiently and effectively
- Process referral calls from outside veterinarians and clients
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately
- Respond to internal and external clients in a respectful, friendly, and thorough manner
- Provide clients with status updates and patient information
- Maintain a detailed-oriented approach while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 1-2 years of veterinary medical office experience is required
- Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred
- Proficient in computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Cornerstone EMR system, Alcatel-Lucent Phone system
- Speed typing skills of 40+ wpm required
- Ability to provide consistent and exceptional customer service
- Pleasant speaking voice
- Articulate, dependable, hardworking, compassionate, and flexible with scheduling
- Proven experience in a detail-oriented environment.
