About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain the Design Strategy for the New Reservoirs Programme
- Ensure the strategy reflects DCO, Reference, ECI, Early Works and Enabling Works design and engineering workstreams
- Establish design liability ownership, risk ownership, CDM responsibilities and effective hand-offs between supply partners
- Design and maintain the Technical Assurance Strategy across the supply chain
- Oversee work-package integration and assurance plans
- Prepare technical scopes for procurement
- Manage the Technical Assurance Manager responsible for day-to-day system and process management
- Define, develop and maintain Client Requirements aligned with programme outcomes
- Direct and oversee solution development and requests to change or develop requirements
- Supervise a Requirements Manager
- Coordinate independent Technical Assurance activities, including technical scoping and progress monitoring
- Liaise with engineering, programme management and commercial teams
- Drive continuous improvement in health, safety and wellbeing and maintain a zero-accident culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant design/technical experience in senior roles of large design and build contractor procurements and management
- Strong project management skills
- Design leadership at detailed engineering and system level
- Experience managing multiple internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
