About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate a single-person, high-pressure water jetting unit and specific CCTV equipment to identify problems and promote repair work on the sewerage network
- Investigate and provide first-time resolutions for sewerage issues encountered by customers
- Respond to incidents and complete planned maintenance work
- Accurately collate and record site feedback through IT systems
- Work predominantly alone while engaging with internal and external customers daily
- Participate in the standby roster and undertake additional out-of-hours work
- Safeguard the environment and public health while maintaining critical infrastructure
- Deliver exceptional customer service while adhering to environmental regulatory standards
- Uphold health and safety protocols
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience or willingness to work outside in all weathers; hands-on/manual experience beneficial
- Basic IT skills
- Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative
- Excellent customer service skills
- Full driving licence
- A 4.5-tonne licence advantageous; training provided if needed
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at height without restrictions
- Maximum weight of 113 kilograms due to harness weight limits
- Completion of relevant occupational health checks, including Hand-arm Vibration (HAV)
- Willingness to undertake training for high-pressure water jetting and CCTV equipment
