About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report on commercial and contractual performance to stakeholders
- Ensure accurate cost capture and allocation
- Maintain GDPR-compliant contract records and systems
- Drive improvements by challenging and refining commercial processes
- Produce and assess cost estimates
- Ensure commercial compliance and accurate cash flow forecasting
- Manage liabilities, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Oversee timely payments to the supply chain
- Uphold consistency in commercial procedures and documentation
- Support and develop the team
- Help embed a culture of commercial excellence across the business
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of NEC3 contracts and construction law
- Proven experience in a complex matrix team environment
- Excellent commercial acumen and stakeholder communication
- Ability to manage and resolve commercial disputes
- Resilient, proactive, and collaborative mindset
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities
- Professional qualification such as RICS, CIOB, or ICE (desirable)
- Relevant degree in construction or commercial management (desirable)
